Mr. Abdul Kayum is an Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS) officer. He has 28 years of experience in the telecom sector. Currently, he is heading the 6G Technologies Division in the Telecommunication Engineering Centre, New Delhi, under the Department of Telecommunication, Government of India. His current responsibilities include the contribution to international standardization in the areas of 6G Technologies, Quantum Communication, Next Generation Passive Optical Networks, Emergency and Mission Critical Communication, and Sustainable Telecommunication in addition to the development of National standards and conformity assessment at the Telecommunication Engineering Centre, DoT, India.
