He is presently working as Senior Deputy Wireless Advisor in the Satellite Division of Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing in the Department of Telecommunication, Government of India. He has 25 years of experience in spectrum management and has worked in almost every domain of Spectrum Management including wireless monitoring. He is a Graduate Engineer in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Policy Management. He has relentlessly worked to bring Government closer to the people. Mr. Pattanaik was instrumental in leading a team to develop the necessary spectrum planning and Pan-India frequency deployment plan for private FM Broadcast expansion in 2015. Currently, Mr. Pattanaik is the Co-Chair of APG-23 Study Group 4 on Satellite Related issues, and vice chair of ITU Study Group 3.
